Sept 11

September 12, 2006

Not really a whole lot to say but the fact that this was the first time since the attacks that I didn’t really get upset. Is that weird? It was also the first time that I didn’t notice other people acting any different on the day. Have we all gotten over it so quickly?

Also, am I the only one that doesn’t really understand the war in Iraq? What are we doing, seriously?

Jessica Simpson

August 30, 2006

Yesterday Nick gave me a call and asked if I wanted to go see a taping of TRL in the city where Jessica Simpson would be the guest. I had nothing to do and of course I wouldn’t pass this up so I said yes. Today I meet him in Penn Statiom where we proceed to walk to Times Square and line up for the show. Little did I realize that the last time I actually watched TRL was when I was probably 16. I had no idea who hosted it, and any other changes that they may have made. So  picutre this, me and Nick in a room full of screaming 16 year olds where we are 1 of probably 5 guys but are the only straight ones. Pretty funny. We started off pretty shy but soon after Nick pushed away nagging teens for his chance to give a hug to Jessica. I could have sworn I saw tears in his eyes. She had a sore throat and didn’t perform so we all received copies of her new CD and she signed them. A pic of her signing mine is below. Overall:pretty awesome.10119463smiz12829200675535pm.jpg

a 3hour nap

August 23, 2006

Every once in a while your body needs a good one of these and today was my day. After being woken up by my brother leaving from school at 730 I then had to proceed and pick up my dads card. Yeah, my day was pretty much done after that. You know that nap where you can sleep in any position and your pillow will still feel cold and soft. One of thooooose. Basically another wasted day waiting until I get to go back to school.

Just chillin

I finished my internships until I go back to school and I’ve just been lounging around. I bought the Nike+Ipod sneakers and they are really cool I suggest them. They hook up to your Ipod Nano and then is a pedometer that tracks your progress online. You can compete with friends and set goals for yourself. Not a little gift for someone with a Nano as it only costs $30.

In other news I had an internship interview and look forward to hearing back from them. Maybe I’ll get my first job while in college who knows. Sounds like a good place right in DC. I’ve also been updating my Fotki picture site so that will be up and running again soon. I may even open up a few throwback albums.

86 Mets

August 20, 2006

Being in diapers during the Mets last World Series and most likely sleeping through the whole thing gives me no right to give high-fives to half the winning team. But that’s what happened last night and it was awesome. As part of the 20th anniversary season of the 86 World Series win the Mets brought back the team in a pre-game celebration. Before the game they announced all of the players, some keys stats etc. Then the players walked through the stands and onto the field. I think I’m going to watch all of those games again to appreciate who I met. I’ll try and post some pics and vids if I can figure that out. Oh yeah, I was also on TV..woo hoo
